Camps for Preschoolers!

PreschoolSummer can be a hard time to juggle child-care and activity needs for your kids, especially preschoolers. We’re happy to report that we have found a bunch of great options! Many are open to preschool + elementary age kids. If you’re dreaming of  summer weeks with a single drop off point, read on! Updated March 2016

May14_campdoodlesCamp Doodles has a Mill Valley location offering programs from grades K-5.  Weekly themes, full and part-days June 20 – August 12, 2016.

They are also running their full summer camp program for 4-11 year olds at their original location on Fell Street. Weekly themes, full and part-days June 13 – August 12, 2016.

MM1Ms. Marian’s Dance Garden offers a Pre-K camps this summer that is sure to help any child excel. In a fun, supportive environment, campers will explore a variety of activities and lessons: arts, crafts, dance, sewing, yoga, cooking, gardening, and more. Weekly sessions run once a month from June 6 – August 5, 2016.


The Rabbit Hole Theater Company’s Super Hero Theater Camp runs at the beginning of the summer for 3-5 year olds. For four full days, campers will dive into the creative process by using theatrical play to create their very own costumes, build sets, play theater games and learn awesome dances. Camp runs May 31 – June 3, 2016.

may14_danceCreative Movement Summer Dance Camp at Dance Mission, One week of half-day camp for little dancers! June 6-10, 2016.


may14_adventureAdventure Camps, Mobile Camp with 2 Pick up spots including Julius Kahn Park in the Presidio and Midtown Terrace.  This mobile day camp uses the Bay Area as their playground. Everyday is different. They love to explore the BayArea’s wonderful parks, playgrounds, and beaches. Ages 4-14 years. Weekly, 9am-3pm, June 13 – Sept 2, 2016.

may14_elsaPreschool Morning Camp at Presidio Dance Theatre  is offered weekly through the summer for kids 2 1/2 – 5. Children explore rhythm and movement while learning the fundamental elements of choreography. They will also enjoy arts and crafts projects, story telling, and Musical Theatre. Weekly, 9:15am-12:15pm, June 13 – August 12, 2016.

may14_edmoCamp Edmo has a few sessions for 4 year olds at Rooftop School in Twin Peaks: Aqua Adventure Camp explores ocean life, create beautiful crafts, and experience how water powers our planet. Dino Discovery Camp will lead campers on an adventure to uncover fossils, practice paleontology skills, and play games that help feel what life was like in prehistoric time.
3-2-1 BLAST OFF! Space Explorer Camp takes kids on an intergalactic voyage to understand how humans travel through space, why planets orbit the sun, investigate the surface of Mars, create your own stars and constellations, and even explore the idea of extraterrestrial organisms and interstellar travel. Camps run weekly from 9am – 3pm, June 6 – July 22, 2016.

Steve and Kate’s Camp Design-your-own Camp (lunch included) for 4-12 year olds. Now with 2 locations in San Francisco, they offer supreme flexibility. Kids get lots of time Steve_and_Kate_youngcampers9_1to choose from a huge variety of activities including daily and weekly specials. Campers stretch their minds and bodies with art, dance, music, nature and yoga with the most talented team of professionals from ABZ Music, ARTifact, Caring Creatives, Children’s Center for Dance, and It’s Yoga, Kids. Daily 9:00am-1:00pm, Jun 20-Aug 26, 2016.

may14_malltalkPeek-a-boo Factory’s Summer Break drop-off camps are a perfect blend of supervised play and guided activities for kids ages 3 – 10. Themes for every child include Summer Luau, Around the World, Art and Music, Let’s go Camping, and Peek O’lympics. Sessions run July 11-22, 2016, from 9:30am-1:30pm, with extended care available until 3:30pm.
